*Job Title: Data Architect*
Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite 3 days a week) *Description:* We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team, focusing on Wealth Management and Hedge Fund experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions. You will propose new designs and modify existing ones to enhance system performance, functionality, and stability. This role involves partnering with business leaders and unit partners to define priorities and deliver custom solutions that address business needs. *Key Responsibilities:* * Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions for Hedge Fund Services. * Propose and implement new designs and modifications to improve system performance, functionality, and stability. * Collaborate with business leaders and unit partners to define priorities and deliver custom solutions. * Provide comprehensive consultation to Business Unit and IT management at the highest technical level throughout the project development cycle. * Act as the principal designer for major systems and subsystems, utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. * Design and develop high-performance programming language components for trading applications. * Provide technical expertise to support and enhance core trading applications. * Lead and guide staff, fostering an environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and communication. * Execute strategic business function activities, carrying out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and ambiguous issues. * Liaise with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity. Skills: * Data architecture * Big data * Snowflake Top Skills: * Data architecture * Big data * Snowflake Qualifications: * BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. * Strong programming skills in Snowflake, Python, AirFlow, DBT, and Linux. * Experience with server-side programming, automation, and backend support. * Proficiency in agile project methodology and collaboration. * Excellent communication, analytical, judgment, and management skills. * Experience with open-source technologies, database technologies, microservice architecture, cloud-native development, continuous build, integration, and deployment. * Ability to work effectively with end users to define requirements. * Leadership and organizational skills to determine business goals, resource needs, and staff development. * Experience designing and building cloud-native applications using microservices architecture. * Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture models. * Experience in Domain Driven Design. * Familiarity with continuous integration and collaboration tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Confluence. * Experience building data pipelines to Snowflake. Specific Technical Responsibilities: * Provide production support for various data analytics solutions. * Perform as a technical lead and contributing developer. * Conduct code reviews for team members. * Create and enhance data architecture models. * Troubleshoot and identify root causes for production and data issues. Snowflake Responsibilities: * Data transformation (ETL). * Write Snowflake SQL, including stored procedures and complex queries involving CTEs and temp tables. * Help design data models for new data ingestion. * Optimize Snowflake SQL performance. Experience Level: * Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
