Inserso Corporation, a 400+ employee IT Services federal government contractor, is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead the HR Department. The HR Director is responsible for developing and executing the company's overall human resource strategy, overseeing all aspects of the HR department including, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and managing the HR team.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a strategic business partner to senior management on performance management, legal compliance, employee relations, compensation, training and development, and the administration of company policies and programs.
  • Leads and manages a team of HR generalists to execute the company's HR functions.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including recruiting, accounting, IT, contracts, quality, and programs/service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations, relating to federal government contract compliance.
  • Manages and administers company benefit plans to include medical, dental, vision, disability (short- and long-term), life, flexible spending account and 401(k) Plan.
  • Leads and manages employee relations, full-life cycle employment activities, including on-boarding, training, annual performance reviews, and separations.
  • Participates in contract phase-ins to include staffing and onboarding incumbent staff.
  • Champions employee engagement activities, events and reward/recognition programs.
  • Leads HR initiatives in policy design, HRIS implementation, HR workflow development, and compliance reporting
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on the current and future needs of the company.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • Master's degree and/or professional certification(s) in related field.
  • At least 10 years of direct HR experience.
  • Experience leading HR functions in the federal government contracting environment, preferably within a small/medium-size business with geographically dispersed employees.
  • Experience managing 2 or more direct reports.
  • Working knowledge of HR federal, state, and local employment-related laws and regulations, preferably with governing federal contracts.
  • Experience in employee relations and performance management.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, detail-oriented with ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly, take initiative, and follow through.
  • Quickly build trust and maintain a solid work ethic with the ability to act with integrity, professionalism, dedication, and confidentiality.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate and interact effectively at all levels of the company.
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Experience in managing complex HR projects.
  • Expertise in HR systems, such as isolved, with the ability to learn multiple vendor-related HR systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Adobe.
  • Flexible and willing to adjust to the needs and priorities of a growing business.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with payroll, security clearances, employee engagement activities, and employee event planning.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Physical and/or Mental Qualifications:

  • Effectively communicate with employees, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Continuous sitting or standing at a workstation while operating a computer.
  • May move computer equipment or other office items weighing up to 10 pounds.
