UCLA's Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics is seeking to fill a full-time Assistant Project Scientist position. The Assistant Project Scientist candidate will perform independent research on gene therapy for blood cell diseases. A Ph.D. (or equivalent) is required and 3-5 years of experience with translational cell and gene therapy research. The Assistant Project Scientist position is a 12-month non-Senate position. Specific responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications: * Ph.D. (or equivalent) in biomedical sciences, molecular biology, cell biology or equivalent area Additional Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with clinical trial development and performance and project management is strongly preferred.
