We are seeking a Facilities Site Supervisor to be responsible for supervising a group of Facility Maintenance Mechanics and Lead Maintenance Mechanic; Provides care and maintenance services to the buildings and grounds of facilities as assigned.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supervise a group of facility maintenance staff and direct their work on a daily basis.

2. Oversee the day to day facility maintenance function for a group of facilities staff including:



  1. Scheduling of the facilities maintenance custodians and mechanics.
  2. Directing the work of facility maintenance staff including the planning and assigning of work among department staff.
  3. Supervision of maintenance staff including orientation and training, oversight of their work, performance evaluations and making recommendations on discipline, hiring and promotion.
  4. Managing the care, condition and use of facility maintenance equipment and appliances.
  5. Inventory maintenance of janitorial supplies and consumables related to building operations.


3. Responsible for facility management duties to include:



  1. Work with outside service contractors regarding the scheduling and coordination of their work - make recommendations based on their performance.
  2. Schedule and oversee the facility mechanical inspections and certifications and maintains records of same.
  3. Assess facility mechanical systems operation; make recommendations and reports to the Assistant Director and Director of Facilities.


4. Perform hands on troubleshooting, inspections, repair and maintenance of equipment, buildings, grounds work and various projects as necessary.

5. Install, move, repair and remove furniture and equipment within various building sites as necessary.

6. Assess major maintenance and repair needs and make recommendations to the Assistant Director and Director of Facilities.

7.Responsible for project planning and management including:



  1. Planning and managing building and grounds maintenance, repair and improvement projects.
  2. Assisting in the project planning for major repairs, upgrades and replacement of mechanical systems and helps with management of the plan implementation.


8. Respond to emergencies during off hours.

9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 1-3 years previous supervisory experience required.

Five years' experience in the building and grounds maintenance or construction field required

Demonstrated experience in project planning and management.

Must have reliable transportation.

Excellent customer service, organizational, oral and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Basic computer skills required.

Bilingual skills preferred.

Ability to work a flexible schedule supervising two shifts as needed and respond to emergencies.

Knowledge of Federal, State & Local building codes is helpful.

Perform other duties as required.
