Purpose/ Summary

This position is an opportunity for future engineers to gain an understanding of how Pursuit Aerospace implements Kaizen to continuously improve our production processes on a daily basis. Engineering Interns will gain hands on experience with manufacturing technologies and implementation of kaizen tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design and build of Creform assemblies to support the production floor and main office areas
  • Design and build of production support equipment and right size machines
  • Manufacturing equipment operation to support production needs
  • Support the review and implementation of quality improvements (RCCA)
  • Rapid deployment of ideas through mock up, 3D printing, and metal fabrication
  • CAD modeling in SolidEdge

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Able to read, write, and speak in standard English
  • Legally authorized to work in applicable country
  • Currently enrolled in an engineering program at an accredited school
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and multiple levels of internal departments
  • Excellent attention to detail and high proficiency in accurate data entry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
  • An open mind and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Basic design experience with CAD software
  • Past experience or education on fabricating a design from scratch machine equipment (Lathes/Mills/EDM/Waterjet)
