Fox News channel is looking for a confident, highly motivated, proactive Booker/Researcher to join the top-rated 2-hour primetime program, The Big Weekend Show. As a Booker/Researcher, you will be responsible for coordinating travel for hosts, pitching stories, writing scripts, conducting in-depth research and handling packets, and selecting/building elements for segments and reporter hits. You will also book compelling guests during breaking news. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for growth, particularly in the area of production.

This role is located fully onsite, and the schedule is Wednesday - Sunday.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Book travel for hosts and guests during breaking news

  • Pitch unique and interesting stories, and segments

  • Conduct in-depth research and compile well-rounded pre-interviews as needed

  • Write reporter hits and banners

  • Select and cut elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics to help tell a story

  • Manage daily deadline turnarounds of a live show

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • A Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

  • 1-3 years of prior live television news experience, including 1-2 years as a Production Assistant at top cable or national news networks

  • Experience using Dalet

  • Familiarity with iNews, DALET, VIZ is preferred, however, you must be able to learn these skills quickly to succeed in the role

  • Strong knowledge of business news, politics, and current events; familiarity with politicians, commentators, and opinion makers

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others under intense deadline pressure

  • Ability to work independently and make smart decisions on your own

  • Willingness to listen, learn, and grow from constructive criticism

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $55,500.00-70,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $46,200.00-58,300.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
