Job Description:
- With minimum guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks of a complex scope and nature in one or more of the following areas: production equipment, diagnose and repair of conventional and CNC machinery.
- Remove, repair or relocate CNC machines; install air & water lines; align and adjust machines for production operation.
- Diagnose defects and perform repair and preventive maintenance to various types of hydraulic equipment, CNC machine tools, building plumbing and related equipment.
- Construct, install, maintain, repair and overhaul test stands, fixtures and related hydraulic equipment.
- Setup and operate arc and acetylene welding equipment.
- Perform high pressure tubing and hose fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic application and contamination control.
- Identify and repair CNC machine malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and mechanical operations for proper operation.
- Use precision test equipment.
- May work with computers and computer software to create and operate programs, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Coordinate inventory and pickup of hazardous material and maintain current inventory of on- site chemicals.
- Advise and assist in clean-up of chemical spills.
- Coordinate packaging, labeling, storing, and scheduling pickup of hazardous waste for offsite disposal.
- Maintain accurate records of all hazardous waste shipped offsite.
- Initiate compliance inspections.
- Provide technical assistance on hazardous materials compliance and safe practices.
- Perform other related responsibilities.
Required Education:
Required Skills:
- Five years related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
- May require proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures, especially aerospace associated equipment.
- Ability to work from blueprints and sketches.
- Possess required tools.
- May require ability to setup and operate hand and power tools.
- May require working knowledge of national, state and local electrical codes.
- May require knowledge of general hydraulics technology, i.e. pumps, cylinders, accumulators, filters, & piping; tube bending, piping fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
- May require knowledge of chemicals and their characteristics.
- May require working knowledge of computer and computer software to operate programs, create reports, and spreadsheets.
- Required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- May require forklift operator certification.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work with others and be a participative team player.
