Location: Fort Leonard Wood, MO

Employment Class: Full-Time Regular

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Hourly

Position Summary:

Advancia Government Services (a federal government contractor) seeks a skilled and reliable pipefitter to join our maintenance team. The pipefitter will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems. The ideal will have experience working with pipes, valves, and fittings, as well as a strong understanding of blueprints, codes, and safety standards.

**Position is contingent upon award of contract.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

*Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for water, gas, steam, and other materials
*Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system specifications to determine the correct layout and materials for each project
*Measure, cut, thread, and weld pipes ensuring proper fitting and alignment
*Inspect and test piping systems for leaks or other issues and make necessary repairs or replacements
*Install and maintain valves, fittings, and other components to ensure system functionality and efficiency
*Collaborate with engineers and other maintenance staff to troubleshoot problems and design system upgrades
*Perform preventative maintenance on piping systems to ensure optimal performance and extend the life of the systems
*Ensure all work complies with industry codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
*Use and maintain tools and equipment such as but not limited to pipe benders, cutters, and threaders
*Adhere to all safety procedure and company protocols, ensuring a safe work environment

Education & Experience Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Three (3) plus years proven experience as a pipefitter or similar maintenance role
* Valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

*Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques
*Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings
*Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations related to pipefitting
*Proficiency in using tools and equipment necessary for pipe installation and repair
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
*Ability to work independently or as part of a team
*Excellent communication skills for working with colleagues and clients

Other Requirements:

*Must be able to pass background checks

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

*Involves shift work that can include on-call requirements for emergency situations
*Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required depending on the needs of the facility
*Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions
*Work may be required in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
*Will involve walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending for extended periods of time
*May be required to work in confined spaces
*Work may involve lifting and moving of heavy items, up to 50 lbs
