JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Coordinate receiving and distribution of incoming material, equipment, and samples, including 55-gallon drums
  • Load and unload trucks, handle packages, stock shelves, and move drums
  • Prepare material, equipment and samples for shipping according to regulations and prepare related documentation
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to deliver received goods
  • Post records, prepare reports, and perform other related clerical duties
  • Responsible for maintaining facilities and equipment in a safe and orderly manner
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, manipulate 55 gallon drums
  • Maintaining chemical inventories
  • Chemical handling, requiring physical labor
  • Creating, registering, and labeling small material samples split from larger sample
  • Maintaining supplies, files, and sample inventory
  • Performing safety inspections and general housekeeping duties
  • Maintaining the safety and security of the work area
  • Formal laboratory training or prior laboratory or chemical handling experience is preferred
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Overtime may be required

Expected Level of Proficiency:

  • The candidate must have competent computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficient in electronic data reporting, storage, and transfer
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills, be able to follow detailed instructions, adhere to detailed procedures and safe work practices, and function as part of a cohesive team
  • Must be able to comprehend chemical labeling and Safety Data Sheets
  • Will be expected to carry out multiple tasks at the same time and work independently
  • Experience with lubes and fuels production, laboratory instruments, laboratory testing, sample handling, is preferred
  • Possess good teamwork skills and demonstrate the flexibility to handle changing priorities
  • The successful candidate must be able to work in production and laboratory settings with minimum supervision while following safe work practices at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dangerous Goods training and forklift operational experience preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Shipping, Receiving, and Transportation
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the positions, including, but not limited to, handling cartons, drums, pushing carts, and working outdoors, etc.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position will be located in Clinton, NJ
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision, while following safe work practices at all times
  • Good teamwork skills are required
  • Fire Resistant Clothing and other PPE as needed (steel tip shoes, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)

Estimated total compensation for this position:

49,920.00 - 54,080.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
