Class A CDL Flatbed Driver - County Materials

We are seeking a Class A CDL Flatbed Driver for our customer, County Materials in Appleton, WI.

About the position:

• Competitive hourly pay and benefits.
• Run loads locally, majority of freight hauled is for our company, minimal wait time.

Job Duties:

• Demonstrate customer service while interfacing with clients.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in route inspections on all equipment, including securement devices.
• Properly secure load prior to transport following DOT regulations.
• Operate tractor trailer combinations.
• Transport freight while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform duties consistent with all safety policies, including utilizing proper PPE.
• Load & Unload transported material utilizing approved methods.
• Ensure cleanliness and good operating condition for assigned tractor.
• Receive work assignments and report back on job completion.
• Use consistent communicate with dispatcher.
• Maintain customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner.

Work Environment:

• Work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Work near moving equipment and machinery.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting.
• Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 lbs. regularly, >40 lbs. occasionally.
• Standing / Walking / Climbing.
• Squatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending.
• Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL prior to hire.
• Maintain an active DOT qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience required.
• Ability to perform well in a "team" environment.
• Self-motivator and must be flexible to accommodate the client's needs.
