Position Responsibilities

Deltek is seeking an experienced FP&A leader to serve as the strategic finance business partner to our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success organizations. As the Senior Director of GTM Finance, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Go-To-Market organizations by developing strategic financial plans, overseeing the planning and forecasting processes, and providing insightful analytical support to key stakeholders. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, you will lead the team partnering with GTM organizations, supporting the company's growth initiatives, and providing insights that inform decisions on Go-to-Market strategy, execution, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with GTM leaders to develop and execute strategies that drive growth, optimize resource allocation, and enhance profitability.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning processes for all GTM departments. Ensure alignment between GTM strategy and financial goals, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to inform senior management and stakeholders of GTM performance.
  • Data and Analytics: Lead management and development of analytical tools required to support GTM financial performance management. Build and maintain sophisticated financial models that incorporate key business drivers, supporting strategic planning and revenue growth acceleration.
  • Performance Management: Develop and deliver compelling financial narratives on key performance indicators (KPIs) and to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of GTM initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives, including market expansion, pricing strategies, and product launches, by providing financial analysis and insights. Proactively identify opportunities to accelerate growth and profitability, utilizing advanced analytics and data techniques to provide actionable insights.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure cohesive and integrated financial planning and efficient processes.
  • Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals in North America, the Philippines, and India, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications


  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in FP&A with 5+ years in a leadership position. Preferably, a focus on GTM financial planning and analysis, and business partnering within a software, technology and/or recurring revenue environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven experience as a strategic finance business partner to C-suite executives, with the ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of long-term business plans and initiatives.
  • Domain Expertise: Experience in Technology, SaaS and/or recurring revenue industries preferred. Strong understanding of GTM analytics and understanding of sales quota strategy and align compensation with business goals.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the strong financial storytelling abilities to translate complex data into actionable insights. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing global, high-performing finance teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented: Strong focus on delivering results and driving continuous improvement in financial performance and processes.
  • Tools and Data: Expertise in using financial and BI tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, PowerBI) to enhance financial planning and reporting. Familiarity with data analysis and science techniques is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Location: Remote or Hybrid role, approximately 15% of time to be spent in our Herndon, VA office

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $114500.00 - $200250.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
