- As the Infotainment User Experience (UX) Technical Expert you will utilize your mastery of User-centered design methodology to guide research and set the direction for vehicle interface solutions to ensure an exceptional User Experience in the North American market and for development vehicles. You will guide lead UX engineers in the process and make sound judgments regarding Digital UX interactions and specifications with a focus on C.A.S.E. (Connected Autonomous Shared Electrification). You will also support the UX Technical lead in providing the North American voice and to generate strategic proposals.
Key Accountabilities
- Support in creating and Communicating the UX vision and outcomes to UX team associates, division leadership and executives, as needed along with giving guidance, mentoring, and team action on how to achieve the overall goals.
- Review and approve Human Machine Interface (HMI) proposals and oversee the development of UX specifications. Correlate UX specifications with Japan, and provide feedback to Japan on their UX development.
- Provide judgment on customer impact for proposed system changes and propose alternative solutions as necessary.
- Determine the scope of research in key Infotainment areas to determine customer expectations and opportunities within the Infotainment UX. Distribute assignments to junior members to ensure on time delivery in line with organizational direction.
- Review research proposals and results - providing guidance and expectations for research lead.
- Identify as subject matter expert for the department. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, external regulations, and industry best practices through. continuing professional development, conferences, and specialist publications.
Key Accountabilities
- Bachelors in Human Factors, Industrial Design, UX design; Engineering, Psychology, or Product Development, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience conducting user-centered research in educational and/or professional environment and implementing to design solution
- Product Benchmarking
- Experience with GUI prototyping preferred (Figma, ProtoPie, Axure, Kanzi, etc)
