Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Member Engagement Coordinator at UL Standards & Engagement. This is a hybrid opportunity based in our Evanston, IL OR Durham, North Carolina office

The Senior Member Engagement Coordinator will support stakeholder engagement and technical committee (TC) membership program initiatives to advance the mission of UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) to make the world safer, more secure, and sustainable. The Senior Member Engagement Coordinator will drive efforts to expand ULSE's network and pipeline of volunteer TC members, partnering organizations and other stakeholders. With focus on membership lead generation, outreach efforts, and event coordination, the Senior Member Engagement Coordinator will identify trends and opportunities to strengthen the organization's engagement with technical experts, industry leaders and partner organizations.

What you'll learn and achieve:

As the Senior Member Engagement Coordinator, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:

  • Support membership recruitment, retention and engagement initiatives to build and maintain strong, diverse community of stakeholders. Drive lead development and outreach to engage technical committee members, industry leaders and partnering organizations.

  • Proactively identify and recruit volunteer TC members. Leverage tools including LinkedIn Navigator to research and engage potential leads and strategic partners to drive membership growth.

  • Utilize Salesforce Account Engagement to track, manage and optimize leads through conversion process.

  • Manage and facilitate relationships with existing stakeholders to ensure ongoing participation, and high level of engagement.

  • Analyze stakeholder feedback received through surveys, direct engagement and data tracking to refine outreach strategies, improve engagement efforts and tailor experiences to stakeholder preferences.

  • Manage recruitment support queue, address inquiries, provide assistance, track responses and ensure timely resolution of requests.

  • Organize and support stakeholder meetings, member events, and programs, ensuring seamless execution for both virtual and in-person engagements.

  • Manage TC member event logistics, promotion, and attendee engagement to drive participation, maximize impact and deliver successful, high-quality events.

  • Identify and resolve moderate or complex issues within process or system. Make recommendations on perceived risk and escalate where needed.

  • Support integration of stakeholder engagement into other standards activities, ensuring member and stakeholder perspectives are represented.

  • Make notable contributions to shared team goals and independently manage workload effectively, using appropriate communication and adherence to deliverable and timeline expectations.

  • Maintain continued awareness of industry trends to identify engagement opportunities.

  • Perform other duties as directed.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in membership operations and stakeholder experience management (SX). Ability to execute strategic activities that engage, retain and grow membership, while providing high-level of service to diverse stakeholders.

  • Technical proficiency and familiarity with digital tools such as membership platforms, email marketing software, virtual event platforms, and reporting dashboards.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management with experience prioritizing tasks and scope management.

  • Excellent problem-solving ability and proactive approach to address issues and challenges effectively.

  • Communication and engagement skills, with ability to effectively communicate project goals, requirements and progress to various stakeholder groups.

  • Positive and collaborative interpersonal skills, with ability to foster collaboration and partnership across teams.

  • Strong degree of learning agility and ability to manage tasks independently

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum 1 year of related work experience.

  • Prior experience supporting recruitment pipelines or membership conversion processes.

  • Experience with CRM systems or platforms, Salesforce and LinkedIn Navigator preferred
