About the Role

  • AESC is known for making Quality products. As key members of the Quality Assurance Team, QC Technicians will support all quality testing in assigned work areas to achieve established goals set by AESC, regulatory and industry standards, and the customer. QC Technicians will support the QC Technologist and other QC team members on assigned shifts to maintain quality standards, production schedules, and a safe working environment.

What You Will Do

  • Performs daily QC testing and reporting of results to support manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance.
  • Supports QC Technologist and team members on all testing requirements and operation of QC instrumentation.
  • Support achievement of Safety, Quality, Cost and Time (SQCT) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Coordinate and communicate with assigned QC Technologist and peers on other shifts to ensure standardization of QC operations.
  • Interact and coordinate with maintenance and engineering to identify countermeasure issues with equipment, processes, or materials.
  • Investigates material variances and reports result of investigation to management.
  • Support quality investigations as needed.
  • Proactively identify and communicate safety concerns before an incident.

What You Need

  • At least two years of related battery experience.
  • Prefer two years of post-high school education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and other PC applications.
  • Experience with MES, Traceability, and Quality systems (interface, data entry and reporting functions).

What is "Nice to Have"?

  • High volume manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Clean/ dry room experience is a plus.
  • Battery cell production experience preferred.
  • Background in QC testing and operating QC equipment in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment for a QC Technician will primarily be a Cleanroom environment. This environment is highly controlled (humidity, air quality, temperature, pressure). Maintaining low levels of particles, dust, airborne organisms, are important in preventing contamination. For this reason, Cleanroom suits and all other proper PPE are required for this area/Job to minimize contamination.
