DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented SAP SALES PRINCIPAL to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Indianapolis, IN office.

Assess and apply new solution designs against defined architecture strategies, principles, policies and standards in alignment with the enterprise architecture strategies. Defines new architecture solutions where needs are identified. Where current enterprise strategies and principles do not meet needs, drive changes back to the enterprise. Defines complex application and solution designs for specific systems in coordination with project teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • System Component Breakdown: Define and allocate functions to system components; establish interfaces between systems and components.
  • Reusable Standards and Patterns: Develop standards, design patterns, and configurations that can be reused as building blocks for other solutions.
  • Collaborative Solution Development: Work with project/product teams to understand capabilities and provide the right solutions.
  • Cost/Benefit Analysis: Perform complex cost/benefit analysis when researching future state capabilities.
  • Governance and Change Management: Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to manage change and guide solution decisions.
  • Compliance Auditing: Audit solution designs to ensure compliance with architectural patterns and standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor architecture solution performance and prevent issues when introducing new capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to apply strategy to future state architecture and develop roadmaps.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent degree in relevant technical discipline, or relevant equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Significant experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of architecture and design for cloud-based platforms. Knowledge of the latest trends in emerging technologies is highly preferred and includes:

  • Analyzing complex business systems, industry requirements, and governance and creating solution designs from them
  • Proven Architecture and design experience for cloud-based platforms

Significant experiences in the following are preferred:

  • Experience with architecting and integrating enterprise systems and data

-Experience in defining and weighing the trade-offs of different solution options

  • Experience with IoT technology
  • Experience in Agile software development and DevSecOps

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications: 10-12 years of extensive and proven hands-on configuration and implementation experience in S/4 HANA 2023 or up to 2 prior versions.

  • SAP certification required in SAP SD and preferably other S/4 HANA modules and a game changer for candidates with SAP PS (Project Systems) module experience.
  • Working experience with non-SAP systems integrations using Mulesoft or other middleware, OData, APIs).
  • Experience in industries such as Automotive, Manufacturing, Retail, or Distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions across multiple countries, ensuring the successful delivery of complex, large-scale SAP projects across multiple geographies, with knowledge of localizations.
  • Provide best practice guidance for SAP SD implementations and optimizations and leads the design and implementation of SAP SD solutions with S/4 HANA 2023.
  • Deliver architectural expertise in SAP SD module, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, LE, PP, FICO) and non-SAP peripheral systems.
  • Must have demonstrated hands-on configuration experience in designing solutions, creating proof-of-concepts showcasing potential solution options.
  • Highly desirable to have cross module experience and debugging knowledge of workbench objects, to trouble shoot and resolve complex issues or provide direction when customization is needed or justified.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and SI Partner to translate requirements into scalable, efficient SAP solutions by providing best practice guidance for SAP SD capability implementations and optimizations.
  • Validation of solutions proposed by SI Partner to follow the principle of Adopt vs Adapt leveraging SAP out-of-box capabilities, follow CCOE standards and avoidance or minimization of customizations and bespoke configurations.
  • Drive the full project lifecycle: from blueprinting and design to configuration, testing, and go-live and post provide overarching subject matter expertise to AMS team.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for SAP SD, leading cross-functional teams collaborating internally with CCOE teams and leaders, along with mentoring business process leaders and business resources new to SAP.
  • Ensure proper integration with other key modules and edge applications such as Basware, High Radius, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, within the Cummins ecosystem.
  • Support the global rollout of SAP SD solutions across multiple countries, ensuring adherence to local legal, fiscal, and business requirements.

Location: This position is remote and can be based in Indianapolis or Atlanta, with preference to candidates in Eastern or Central time zones. Relocation is not offered.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidates qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
