What You'll Do
ECS is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Recruiter to lead the sourcing and recruitment of top civil engineering and geotechnical talent across Florida. In this role, you will build and manage strong partnerships with subsidiary and branch leadership, use your organizational skills and your sourcing prowess to delivery an effective, proactive and strategic approach to attracting the best engineers in the industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Source and recruit on professional level positions Nationally, with a focus on Florida geotechnical and construction materials testing talent while assisting with hourly/non-exempt positions as needed
- Successfully manage a requisition load of 50+ job openings and effectively prioritize top 20-25 based on labor market, urgency, and difficulty level for the optimal results
- Utilize sourcing tools such as LinkedIn, Boolean, competitor websites, information databases, various job boards (colleges, professional associations, etc.), referrals, leveraging of data obtained from new employees hired from competitors, previous applicants stored in the ATS, state and national licensing portals, internal employees based on transfer preferences, and professional networking sites effectively to search for quality professional passive candidates
- Cold call and pre-screen potential passive candidates to determine correct fit for open professional positions or strategic/future opportunities
- Build and maintain meaningful partnerships with hiring managers and senior leadership; consult to develop effective recruiting plans, facilitate effective qualification and update meetings for all open professional level positions
- Confer with management and discusses long-range professional personnel needs to prepare and implement effective recruitment plans
- Guide hiring managers in the effective use of the recruiting techniques and help generate referrals with their established networks
- Build and maintain market specific candidate pipelines databases for all markets within assigned regions and effectively communicate pipeline progress regularly with leadership
- Research labor market and competitor business activities that might affect recruiting efforts (acquisitions, lay-offs, branch closings, etc.)
- Conduct pre-interview screenings, reference checks, and employment verifications on prospective candidates to ensure organization qualifications are met, as determined between recruiter, and hiring managers
- Effectively informs applicants of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, company and union policies, promotional opportunities, and other related
- Ensure a positive candidates experience for all candidates by regular correspondence and interaction
- Potential to manage Jr. level recruiting staff or coordinators
- Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including Affirmative Action and OFCCP regulations
- Prepare reports on metrics and candidate updates on time by set due
- Occasionally visits branch offices to gain an understanding of the local office culture and personnel
- Research and attends local networking, engineering organization and career fair events when appropriate Utilizes the ATS to process, manage and communicate with candidates outside of the ATS
- Assists with implementing best recruiting practices
- Collaborates with regional recruiting staff as well as the corporate recruiting team to ensure all recruiting goals are met
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS in Human Resources or Business related field
- 5-7 years of technical recruiting and sourcing experience
- Experience recruiting in the AEC industry highly preferred
- Ability to facilitate effective meetings and updates with executive and management staff
- Ability to function on deadlines and occasional after hours
- Core hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
- If located near a local office with ample space, 2 days in office will be required. If not local to an office, remote work is available with occasional travel to local branch offices for meetings and events
