Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Director, Digital Media and Performance Marketing to lead our digital media strategy and execution across multiple channels. This individual will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and optimization of paid media campaigns that align with our business objectives. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in digital media, with a proven background in driving performance marketing advertising. Additionally, this role requires experience in media agency management and will oversee a team of direct reports while collaborating with cross-functional partners.This is a critical leadership role that requires strategic thinking, technical acumen, and strong management skills. The Senior Director, Digital Media and Performance Marketing, will report to the VP of Media and work closely with senior leadership to ensure our paid media efforts deliver measurable results and maximize ROI.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the overall paid media strategy across digital channels, including paid search, programmatic, social media, and online display advertising, to meet business objectives and KPIs.
- Proven Performance Marketing Background, working with media partners and vendors to drive towards acquisition-focused media. Experience with CPA media, affiliate marketing, and pay-per-performance a significant plus
- Lead media planning and buying activities in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
- Continuously analyze and optimize campaign performance through advanced analytics and data insights, ensuring effective budget allocation and cost efficiencies.
- Ensure alignment of paid media efforts with overarching marketing strategies, brand guidelines, and consumer insights.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the media agency, ensuring campaigns are executed flawlessly and deliver on key metrics.
- Establish clear goals, benchmarks, and deliverables for the agency, while fostering a productive and collaborative partnership.
- Review and approve agency media plans, performance reports, and budgets.
- Evaluate agency performance and ensure accountability for achieving agreed-upon results.
- Build, manage, and mentor a team of paid media professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee the professional development of team members, providing guidance and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including brand marketing, analytics, and product teams, to ensure campaigns are integrated and aligned with broader business goals.
- Act as a senior leader within the media organization, contributing to cross-departmental initiatives and innovation.
- Stay abreast of emerging media platforms, tools, and industry trends to ensure the company remains at the forefront of paid media innovation.
- Identify new opportunities for growth and test innovative strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Champion the use of data-driven decision-making and advanced technologies to inform media strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in paid media, digital advertising, or related fields, with a strong track record of success.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Proven experience managing a media agency or working in a senior role at a media agency.
- Expertise in digital advertising channels, including paid search, programmatic, social media, and online display advertising.
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-million-dollar media budgets and achieving measurable business outcomes.
- Current industry knowledge of digital measurement and attribution
- Proven track record of managing multiple digital channels across full funnel
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate direct reports and cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, uncover insights, and drive actionable recommendations.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to align paid media efforts with broader business goals and marketing strategies.
- Ability for storytelling, distilling complex information in a way that is easy-to-understand
- Proficiency in media analytics tools and ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, DV360, SA360, and ability to navigate reporting dashboards to pull data.
- Familiarity with industry standards, best practices, and compliance regulations.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $161,186.00-$230,265.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
