e are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Technician to join our dynamic team in Maple Grove, MN. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of medical devices through meticulous particulate testing.

Job Purpose:

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be an integral part of a high-performance, cross-functional team, performing routine medical device particulate testing. Your primary goal will be to deliver the highest quality results to customers, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses excellent documentation practices, and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.

Quality Assurance Technician Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct routine testing assignments, applying established procedures with basic interpretation.
  • Gather, record, and analyze data, and verify and report test results with accuracy.
  • Exercise sound judgment in troubleshooting issues that may arise during testing.
  • Create and maintain organized data files and forms for efficient record-keeping.
  • Communicate effectively with various personnel within and outside the plant to share testing results and insights.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and actively participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Utilize documentation systems to research information and generate Change Requests as needed.
  • Assist in the development and qualification of data sheets, equipment/fixtures, visual standards, and test methods.
  • Initiate, investigate, and assist in the generation and completion of Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, and Preventative Actions (NCEPs and DDAs).
  • Support product failure analysis efforts by assisting in investigations.
  • Communicate testing results clearly and concisely to relevant teams.
  • Assist engineers in failure analysis and CAPA activities, including serving as a CAPA project member.
  • Support process and product qualification activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Provide support during external audits by retrieving documents and serving as an auditee.
  • Undertake special quality initiatives with guidance from senior team members.
  • Employ basic analytical lab skills such as reading a meniscus, pipetting, using a balance, and using a stir plate.



Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Maintain compliance with the BSC Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures to ensure patient safety and product quality in all actions.



Basic Qualifications:



  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline, plus 1+ year of related experience
  • Prior experience in a lab environment, including analytical laboratory skills such as weighing, pipetting, and applying the scientific method
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Physical ability to lift 35 pounds and stand for 8 hours



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and fulfilling documentation requirements
  • Ability to communicate detailed information effectively to project teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, interacting with engineers and technicians
  • Prior experience in test documentation through lab notebooks or reports
  • Experience in the medical device industry, preferably testing medical devices
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining test equipment
  • Chemistry/Biology experience is a plus

Pay | $25.50 per hour
