Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Physics is seeking a Full-time Lecturer for the Physics Department. This is a full-time, two-year special faculty appointment. The candidate will teach two courses each semester and in each summer session. These courses will be either undergraduate or graduate courses, selected by the Department Head based on the needs of the department and in consultation with the selected candidate. Qualifications A Ph.D. in Physics is required; 3-5 years experience in classroom lecturing is preferred, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with coursework at Carnegie Mellon University as these courses taught must align with the content and standards of classes at our institution, as these courses often serve as prerequisites for later courses in the student's degree program.
