Project Management Office Manager

The Project Management Office Manager is responsible for leading the activities of project management and projects within the Luxor organization. The PMO ensures that the best project management practices and standards are met to deliver maximum value through its projects. This position will work closely with all departments within the organization. The primary responsibilities will include the collection and standardization of all projects, improving project execution across the organization, alignment of project-based activity with overall strategic plans, prioritization, scope, budget, adherence to schedule, monitoring and controlling project performance, and improving organizational structure and performance. The PMO manager will manage a staff of project managers, reporting project status, aligning the resources required, and managing the scope and resources of each. The PMO manager will participate in the S&OP monthly cycle, reporting out status of all projects managed within the PMO office and have an integral role in the development, management, and maintenance of an S&OP program. The PMO manager will ensure project scope is clear, budgets are adhered to, and timelines are met. The PMO manager will also provide governance for the organization related to projects submitted, prioritization and development of KPI's and report out monthly for all cross functional areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

  • Manages the PMO for Luxor Workspaces
  • Manages staff of 2-3 PM's
  • Experience in Phase/Stage Gate development and management processes
  • Works collaboratively to manage projects aligned with strategic goals of the organization:
    • S&OP cycle management
    • Projects and project management staff
    • Governance of business activity related to PMO
    • Resource allocation
    • KPI development, reporting, and performance
    • Continuous improvement activity across organization
    • Goal setting
  • Source of fact-based information relative to company performance related to projects and project KPI performance
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining project management methodologies and processes.
  • Providing guidance and support for all project management activities within the organization.
  • Establishing and maintaining a project portfolio management process to select, prioritize, and manage the execution of projects.
  • Monitoring project progress and performance to ensure alignment with defined objectives.
  • Interacting with project stakeholders and managing stakeholder communication.
  • Implementing and managing project change and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Overseeing project risk management and developing strategies to manage and mitigate risks.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of all project documentation and records for auditing purposes.
  • Providing project management training and mentoring to project managers and team members.
  • Managing the PMO's budget and resources.
  • Conducting project reviews to assess outcomes of projects, identifying lessons learned, and making recommendations for future projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by the organization based on need

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Work History Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of project management
  • Proven track record of successful outcome and ability to communicate results
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in S&OP culture
  • Experience in B2B, B2C selling and distribution model
  • Experience in NPD/Sourcing development model
  • Performance-based organizational focus on continuous improvement experience
  • Consumer centric background

Educations Requirements:

  • Project Management Professional Certificate required
  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Computer equipment and level of software requirements:

  • Experience with ERP systems in relevant system areas
  • Experience with evaluating, implementing, and utilizing project management software & tools
  • Experience in developing and participating in an S&OP platform and culture

Specific Knowledge, licenses, certifications REQUIRED:

  • General Workplace Safety Training
  • OSHA Regulations Familiarity

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Staff of 2-3 project managers

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Orientation to EBSCO/Luxor culture
