Overview

The Cybersecurity Manager provides operational leadership for the Cybersecurity team and will actively participate in defining tactical and operational objectives in order to fulfill strategic direction set by leadership. The Cybersecurity Manager will lead a team that oversees the day-to-day operations and effectiveness of enterprise security technology and programs. The Cybersecurity Manager must rely on extensive operational experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Cybersecurity Manager will assist in implementing the technical aspects of and participating in the Carle Information Security program. Will be expected to lead the development of a security operations center.

This position will weigh business risks and recommend appropriate information security measures. Will manage firewalls and firewall management, intrusion detection and prevention, vulnerability scanning, data-loss prevention, anti-virus, endpoint protection, security information and event management solutions, and other defense-in-depth solutions. Will assist in conducting research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required. Monitors current cyber threats and warnings. Will be expected to lead the development of a security operations center. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


Qualifications

Certifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) within 1 year (1)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or
  • Experience In Lieu of Education

Work Experience:

  • Enterprise IT - 5 years

Responsibilities

  • Help to design, implement, and maintain the organization & cybersecurity plan.
  • Oversees and manages the IT Cyber Security program which from a technical perspective
  • Supports the overall Carle Enterprise Information Security Program.
  • Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organization.
  • Review and provide technical guidance on all Enterprise Information Security Policies.
  • Assist the Director of Information Security with leading different workgroups.
  • Create and maintain documentation and plans for Cyber Security Incident Response.
  • Assists with assessing the cyber security posture of current and new IT systems
  • Makes recommendations for security remediation.
  • Manage and coordinate efforts in support of external audits and assessment activities.
  • Provide audit response and ongoing guidance on solutions to achieve and maintain security compliance
  • Mitigate information security risks and to correct compliance exposures and gaps.
  • Monitor the organization networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
  • Serves as an internal cyber security consultant to the organization.
  • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by one-up supervisor.
  • Works ethically and with integrity supporting organizational goals and values.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $51.31per hour - $88.25per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
