The Administrative Operations Manager ensures the efficient execution of clerical and administrative functions that support shipping, receiving, and inventory management at the Canton Parts Distribution Center (PDC). This role directly supervises the administrative office team, overseeing shipping documentation, vendor coordination, carrier scheduling, and reporting processes. Additionally, this position is responsible for managing timecards, scheduling, and labor compliance to maintain an effective and well-organized clerical support system.

This role is critical in aligning administrative operations with warehouse functions to prevent shipment delays, billing errors, and documentation bottlenecks. Working cross-functionally with warehouse management, finance, and customer support teams, the Administrative Operations Manager helps streamline workflows and ensures data integrity for business-critical processes.

Position offers a starting salary range of$90,000 - $115,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience

What You Drive at DTNA

Clerical Team Leadership & Workforce Management

  • Supervise the administrative office team supporting shipping, receiving, inventory processing, and vendor coordination.

  • Manage timecards, scheduling, and labor compliance to ensure proper staffing and adherence to company policies.

  • Provide coaching, training, and performance oversight to maintain accuracy and efficiency in all clerical operations.

Operational Workflow Oversight

  • Ensure the accurate processing of shipping and receiving documentation to prevent delays and compliance issues.

  • Oversee trailer scheduling, carrier coordination, and inbound/outbound logistics support.

  • Monitor data integrity within SAP/WMS, ensuring vendor payments, invoicing, and system updates align with real-time operations.

Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Identify inefficiencies in clerical workflows and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy.

  • Ensure compliance with Daimler policies, warehouse operational guidelines, and administrative reporting standards.

  • Support financial reconciliation by maintaining accurate records of invoices, shipment logs, and vendor communications.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison between administrative operations and warehouse leadership, finance, transportation, and customer service.

  • Assist in managing vendor and supplier communication to ensure proper order fulfillment and resolution of discrepancies.

  • Work closely with inventory control teams to align administrative records with warehouse stock levels.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required.

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience in administrative management, logistics support, or office operations within a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.

    • Experience supervising employees, including timecard management, scheduling, and policy compliance.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), SAP, or ERP software for shipment tracking and data management.

    • Understanding of shipping documentation, invoice reconciliation, and vendor payment processes.

    • Ability to analyze and improve administrative workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.

    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively across multiple teams.

An Exceptional Candidate Might Have

  • Experience in warehouse logistics support, bridging clerical functions with operational execution.

  • Hands-on expertise in carrier scheduling, freight documentation, and vendor coordination.

  • Proven ability to implement process improvements that reduce administrative delays and increase workflow efficiency.

  • Advanced proficiency in SAP, EWM, or transportation/logistics software.
