Our Maintenance Manager supports Mativ's Sustainability & Adhesives Solutions Function. This individual will have the overall responsibility for the remediation, and maintenance of facilities including grounds and infrastructure. The position requires technical knowledge and the ability to lead the millwright team. Responsible for effective management of budgets to meet the operating plan for the facilities and grounds. The location of this Windsor, CT and reports to the Plant Manager.
responsibilities:
  • Accomplishes human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations of strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Manages third party contractors and vendors as required to meet the needs of the facility.
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Provides support by maintaining plant infrastructure systems in good working order to minimize downtime.
  • Keeps accurate and detailed maintenance records/logs including, but not limited to, equipment calibration, modifications, installations, retro-fits, safety inspections, preventive maintenance, and any other related service required by the company, ISO Procedures, State and Federal guidelines.
  • Identifies needs, plans and executes upgrades to physical facilities, grounds, infrastructure and machinery as required.
  • Works closely with engineering team on capital projects for new, modified or added equipment.
  • Partners with Engineering support to respond to requests for troubleshooting problems or is the engineering resource to repair the issue, if applicable.
  • Coordinates and develops preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for all process and facilities equipment.
  • Reviews maintenance requests. Prioritizes and schedules general repairs and maintenance to equipment. Delegates work assignments to maintenance personnel. Ensures quality maintenance work is put forth by maintenance personnel.
  • Complies with codes by adhering to requirements, advising senior management on needed actions.
  • Leads self and team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures appropriate safety measures are in place for a safe work environment.
  • Shares best practices with other facilities and leaders.
  • Keeps facilities equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; ensuring preventive maintenance performance; calling for repairs.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


qualifications:
Required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 15+ years' experience in an industrial facilities and maintenance management position.
  • Knowledge and compliance experience with environmental and OSHA.
  • Solid troubleshooting/problem solving.
  • Proficient user in maintenance management systems
  • Strong computer skills including the Microsoft suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (written and verbal)
  • Proven teambuilding skills including facilitation and team member participation.
  • Proven leadership skills
