Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work hybrid with our client in Orlando, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Provide Components Engineering support on component selection analysis for new designs and potential redesigns that address Diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS) issues.
  • Ensure that components being considered for designs adhere to Parts Management Plans.
  • Responsible for Components Engineering efforts in addressing obsolescence, standardizing components across multiple efforts, defining engineering data, preparing part standards and procurement control requirements, resolving quality problems, and improving processes.
  • Serves as liaison between part vendors and procurement, client's customers and subcontractors.
  • Activities include resolving obsolescence issues, avoiding counterfeits, generating customer reports, identifying part substitutions, supporting second-source part qualification, preparing part procurement specifications, and resolving development and production parts problems and issues.

Pay: $ 80.48 / hr

Hours: 4/10A-1st Shift

Length: Temporary (12 months)

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Components Engineering support for new products undergoing qualification
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Components Engineering support for products in production
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Components Engineering with knowledge of electronic components and devices at integrated circuit or discrete level
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with DMSMS
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with parts.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with Manufacturing.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with creating processes for building hardware.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with maintenance of hardware.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with the testing of repairs.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with product /tech development.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Component Technical Specifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Electrical, Performance Parts, Auto Parts Knowledge, Electrical Standards, Failure Analysis, Parts catalog (Paper and Electronic).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with component related failure issues, pure tin issues, and counterfeit part detection
  • Experience with generating part management plan specification to ensure electronic component are qualified for usage
  • Leading a team using engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components in evaluation of components for electronic assemblies
  • Electrical Testing
  • Circuit Failure Mode Analysis
