Job Title: Face Finishing

SUMMARY

This person is responsible to Ensure our fabrics are to the highest quality and produced according to our SOP's and customer specifications per style. Working safely, with constant visual control, accountability, transparency, and effective communication cross-functionally within face finishing, and between other departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This is a representative sample -- not to imply a complete listing of all responsibilities and tasks.



  • Know your work area, and all safety rules. Work safely within your area, following all work instructions and customer specifications, to ensure our fabrics are of the highest quality, and meet our customer's expectations.
  • Review and understand all paperwork and customer specifics prior to starting the napping/sueding/lamination processes. Any questions, please ask in advance, since the reworking of fabrics is time consuming with added expense.
  • Be mindful of your efficiency and strive to produce the highest quality fabric in the shortest time frame. Constant motion and visual contact across the entire width of the fabric is required. You cannot stay at one area, and visually detect all defects across the entire width of the fabric. An operator is required to patrol the entire width of the fabric and length of the machine, so sitting is prohibited.
  • Maintain housekeeping, productivity, quality, ensure safety, and be a team player, by always helping your fellow coworkers.
  • Foster an environment focused on Continuous Improvement.
  • Ensure that daily production goals.
  • Receive verbal instructions, get work tools, store them as well as get supplies.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Pay attention to detail.

  • Ability to accurately and consistently follow detailed procedures.
