What You Do.



  • Work in a team and individual setting, communicate effectively, and pay attention to details focusing on preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Assures that quality and quantity of work produced is acceptable to company standards
  • Maintain GMP knowledge and execute GMP practices including strict housekeeping (tool reconciliation) of work areas throughout the facility.
  • Youth Apprenticeship is a 450 - 600 hour position. 200 - 350 hours are completed in the summer and 250 hours are completed during the school year
  • Complete the Manufacturing Fundamental Competencies along with Industrial Equipment Competencies as outlined in the State of Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship program including:





    1. Focus on customer needs
    2. Use various instruments
    3. Operate tools and equipment safely
    4. Practice quality assurance principles
    5. Follow personal safety requirements
    6. Maintain a safe work environment
    7. Demonstrate professional role to be used in an emergency





  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement initiatives and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Take pride and ownership in task and job performed while ensuring operational safety, plant performance
  • and line uptime are optimized.
  • Follow established maintenance processes and required standards of excellence


Your Education and Experience.



  • Must be junior or senior in high school in the 2025-26 school year
  • Ability to start on June 16, 2025 and end May 29, 2026
  • Students are required to apply online at https://careers.sargento.com/us/en/c/students-jobs. Prior to interview, the student must provide Sargento with the Youth Apprenticeship program application paperwork from their High School Counselor.
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Ability to accomplish tasks at hand in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform tasks by adhering to all safety regulations and requirements
  • Ability to maintain physical activity with some handling of heavy materials
  • Ability to read, write, conduct basic math, and follow written and verbal instructions
