Job Posting Title: Faculty Affairs Manager---- Hiring Department: Dell Medical School---- Position Open To: All Applicants---- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40---- FLSA Status: Exempt---- Earliest Start Date: Feb 28, 2025---- Position Duration: Expected to Continue---- Location: AUSTIN, TX---- Job Details: General Notes The Office of Faculty Academic Affairs at the Dell Medical School is seeking a Faculty Affairs Manager. PurposeIn partnership with the Associate Director of Office of Faculty Academic Affairs (OFAA) and the Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure (APT) Program Manager, the Faculty Affairs Manager will work across the Office of Faculty Academic Affairs to advance efforts related to faculty evaluation, promotion, and ongoing professional development. The Faculty Affairs Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating faculty evaluative processes and development programs across the department while ensuring fluid organization of faculty evaluative practices including comprehensive periodic reviews, mid-probationary reviews, and annual evaluation in partnership with the APT Program Manager and Dell Med HR. This position will facilitate the development of professional skill-building programs, organize nominations for faculty awards, and coordinate collaborator groups in collaboration with the Associate Director. Additionally, the Faculty Affairs Manager will assist in developing policy and process guidance materials for executive leadership, faculty end users, and administrative leaders to ensure clear understanding of faculty affairs operations. Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of administrative support experience, preferably in higher education setting. Customer service orientation and a readiness to facilitate processes success in partnership with other administrative units. Demonstrated detail orientation to ensure accuracy and reliability. Able to identify ways to contribute to broad and ambiguous goals without needing specific instructions. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple concurrent projects. Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Fluency in working in a digital environment- including Zoom, and Microsoft Office software. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in business or healthcare administration, or other related field. Experience in faculty or academic affairs, working at an academic health center, or in a healthcare setting. Previous experience coordinating faculty promotion, evaluation, appointment, and tenure processes. Knowledge of UT operating systems. Experience with providing project management support for complex systems in a fast-paced environment. Experience with process improvement and project management. Proficiency in working in a broad stakeholder landscape and balancing completing priorities. Salary Range$70,000+ depending on qualifications Working Conditions
