Position Description Job Summary: the Head of Global EHS is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's global environmental, health, and safety programs. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and drives continuous improvement in EHS performance across all company locations. This role is a member of the ESG Committee. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Strategy: - Collaborate with senior management and other key stakeholders to integrate EHS considerations into business planning and decision-making processes - Further develop and execute a comprehensive global EHS strategy aligned with the company's business objectives - Lead and mentor a team of EHS professionals across multiple regions and develop and cultivate relationships with local EHS representatives based at other company locations - Foster a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance Compliance and Risk Management: - Further develop and adapt the current global environmental, health and safety management system to drive continuous improvements and to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards - Expand and adapt the current global environmental, health and safety processes landscape to align with evolving sustainability requirements - Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate EHS risks and ensure continuous improvement - Lead the chemical compliance program to ensure timely communication into the Substance of Concern Program Performance Monitoring and Reporting: - Further develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure EHS performance and drive continuous improvement - Prepare and present regular reports on EHS performance to senior management and stakeholders Sustainability and Environmental Initiatives: - Support the ESG strategy to reduce the company's environmental footprint and promote sustainability Stakeholder Engagement: - Further build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and other external stakeholders - Represent the company in EHS-related matters at industry conferences and forums Position Requirements Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred). - Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. - In-depth knowledge of global environmental, health and safety regulations and standards. - Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills. - Proven ability to develop and implement effective environmental, health and safety programs. - Experience in a multinational organization is highly desirable. Personal Requirements - Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills. - Ability to work collaboratively across functions and regions. - Ability to travel internationally and work flexibility over different time zones up to 50%. - Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 - 190,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
