Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Accounting Analyst in Salem. Virginia at our corporate headquarters. The Accounting Analyst is responsible for machine billing, commission calculations, analyzing profit and general Accounting duties including general ledger and reconciliations. Must understand key company cycles and help maintain the integrity of company financial reporting. Previous Accounting experience required. Associates or bachelors degree in Accounting preferred. Requirements for the Accounting Analyst position include: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and competing demands. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
