Description
Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Temporary Recruiting Assistant to join our team in our Seattle office.
This is a temporary position lasting six months, with potential to convert to a full-time opportunity for the right candidate. We offer a hybrid work engagement with two days o f remote work, and three days in-office.
Law student talent acquisition supports full-cycle recruiting efforts for all summer associate, law clerk, and entry-level associate positions firm wide. As a member of the law student recruiting team, this position is responsible for providing critical administrative support for law student recruiting, including heavy scheduling, maintaining databases, candidate correspondence and other tasks as assigned.
The Recruiting Assistant will be supremely organized, work effectively with internal and external clients and candidates, possess great communication skills, have the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice, is proactive in nature, and enjoy the challenges of helping to recruit great talent.

On a typical day you will:
  • CRM management including listing new job postings, adding and updating candidate profiles, reviewing new submissions, updating statuses and ensuring accurate collection of recruiting data
  • Communicate with the law schools at which we recruit and list our job postings on their job boards
  • Flag potential candidates for the recruiting manager based on the criteria of the open positions
  • Coordinate the scheduling of on campus interviews (OCIs) with law schools and the attorneys interviewing.
  • Schedule phone, virtual, and in-person interviews for candidates with recruiting manager, hiring committee chairs, and hiring committee members for all offices using both Outlook and applicant tracking system
  • Greet candidates in local office and facilitate greeters for candidates in other offices
  • Oversee the dissemination and collection of post-interview evaluations through applicant tracking system, sending reminders as necessary, and drafting summary emails for the recruiting manager
  • Arrange travel and relocation along with subsequent reimbursements for candidates and incoming new hires, as necessary
  • Process and code recruiting invoices and credit card expenses monthly
  • Monitor applicant and incoming new hire communications to ensure recruiting questions are timely routed to the appropriate team member for response
  • Assist with the planning and execution of virtual and in-person law student recruiting meetings and events including virtual meeting organization, venue reservation, food and promotional material ordering, and day of setup and break down
  • Act as a Davis Wright Tremaine ambassador and exemplify the firm's values to both internal colleagues and external parties ensuring an overall fantastic candidate experience
  • Support the recruiters and perform other assignments and special projects as necessary
Join us if you have:
  • 1+ year of prior administrative experience working in an office setting highly preferred. Experience working in a law firm, other professional services organization, or law school is a plus.
  • Experience with recruiting databases and data management software is preferred; experience with viRecruit, and LinkedIn is a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of a professional services organization. Strong communications skills in both verbal and written form is required
  • Strong proofreading and professional writing abilities is required
  • Strong client service ethic - ability to solve problems and respond to inquiries efficiently and effectively
  • High level of political and situational awareness, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Highly organized with the ability to coordinate multiple projects on the same timeline with a sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with constant changes
  • Ability to work independently while also working as a strong team player
  • Ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet deadlines

Washington State
The hourly range for this position in Washington is $30.77 to $32.82. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Paid sick leave is accrued on a biweekly basis at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked. Temporary employees working at least 30 hours per week may be eligible for health insurance with an optional HSA, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
