The HR Service Specialist II serves as the first point of contact for managers and team members on matters of HR policy, procedures, payroll and benefits transactional needs. This position assesses and determines appropriate protocols for responding to inquiries. The HR Shared Services Transactions Specialist will be responsible processing transactional work in an accurate and timely manner.

Review and input data into employee records with changes to HRIS data, while ensuring integrity and confidentiality.

Consistently and accurately utilize case management system to create, modify, and resolve issues. Clearly and concisely documents interactions with customers.

Assist with onboarding processes by processing paperwork and ensuring new employees have access to necessary resources as required.

Manage offboarding tasks such as processing terminations and updating employee records accordingly. Administration of manual launch of COBRA notification as requested.

Support of benefits enrollment processes, including assisting employees with enrollment entry, and ensuring compliance and eligibility requirements.

Responding to benefits related inquiries from employees and facilitating communications with employees such as evidence of insurability, managing/auditing.

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of human resources experience in a role requiring customer interaction and problem resolution
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Experience PREFERRED
Experience working with a ticketing software system
Prior experience with Workday
1 - 3 years of experience in Payroll Healthcare

Education/training REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent

Education/training PREFERRED: Some College coursework

Must possess a team-focused, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work with a modest degree of supervision.
Excellent listening and communication skills with the ability to provide high quality customer service.
Well organized, detail oriented with the ability to work with all levels within the organization.
Basic understanding of HR and Payroll concepts, policies and procedures.
Exercises independent judgement in the interpretation of inquiries and determining the appropriate guidance.
