Overview

SRI International's Microcircuit Emulation Center (formerly Sarnoff Corporation) is looking for Analog Test Engineers to support the manufacturing of microcircuits (integrated circuits). Through SRI's Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) program, the Microcircuit Emulation Center supplies form, fit, function, and interface replacements for obsolete microcircuits. This capability supports production, redesign, and sustainment requirements for the life of a weapon system. SRI's Microcircuit Emulation Center is a government-supported, U.S.-based Trusted foundry. This role will be based 100% on site at our Princeton, NJ facility.

Responsibilities

Define, document, and implement methods to perform accurate and efficient characterization and Mil-Spec electrical screening of Analog microcircuits (i.e. amplifiers, linear/LDO voltage regulators, PLLs, DAC, ADC, etc).
  • Develop specialized test approaches and programs to resolve problems, particularly in the areas of automated testing of Analog devices and high speed signal measurements (i.e. instrumentation, fixturing issues, etc).
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving existing methods for the testing and measurement of microcircuits using ATE and related equipment; interact directly with the technical staff of test equipment suppliers to address and resolve equipment or software related issues that may arise.
  • Interact directly with the end-users or responsible program managers to review testing results and address test related issues.
  • Provide recommendations to management on test technology trends and anticipated Emulation program test requirements.
  • Assist in training of test engineers in the area of Analog testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelors (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a similar subject area, with 2-3 years relevant work experience in Analog testing.
  • Due to Government requirements, US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
  • Hands-on capability in the measurement of Analog microcircuit characteristics using both manual/bench instrumentation and automated, computer-controlled measurement systems (ATE)
  • Ability to interpret semiconductor related test documentation (i.e. military device specifications and standards documentation, commercial data sheets, application notes, etc) in order to complete characterization and screening tasks.
  • Experience working on both Unix/Linux workstation and PC (Windows) environments and demonstrate ability in relevant programming languages (i.e. C, C++, LabView, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and in a team environment.

The salary range is: $77,220-$102,312. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
