DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Bureau of Benefit Administration Intern, you will be responsible for providing clerical and office support within the Bureau of Benefit Administration to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. You may also have the opportunity to provide support to other bureaus within PSERS as needed. Duties include, but may not be limited to:

  • Scheduling appointments
  • Entering data
  • Sending routine correspondence
  • Assisting with preparations for presentations
  • Filing, reviewing, and scanning documents as necessary

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Internship, May 2025 through September 2025
  • Minimum of 30 hours per week during business hours of 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Hours are flexible with school schedules, within these parameters.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Internship Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled full-time (carrying 12 or more undergraduate credits or 9 or more graduate credits) in a post-secondary education program for the 2024-2025 school year.
  • Be in good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or higher).
  • Be at least eighteen years of age.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be proficient with computers.
  • You must have customer service experience.
  • You must possess professional skills
  • You must have the ability to remain employed May 2025 through September 2025.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
