Job Summary

WebBank partners with multiple Strategic Partners to enable their credit programs. The Strategic Partner credit policies and internal credit policies are managed by the WebBank Credit Risk team, primarily driven by the Credit Risk Managers. This position manages the credit risk oversight of the Strategic Partners, including the review and effective challenge of new credit strategies and their expected impact to portfolio volume and performance. The Credit Risk Manager will drive the credit risk governance framework and champion credit strategy changes through the Bank's Loan Committees. The individual in this capacity will be required to develop and maintain strong relationships with the Strategic Partner Credit Risk Management teams to facilitate open communication and effective oversight of the credit risk within each program. This position is also responsible for developing and producing effective management reporting for the Bank's executive team, Loan Committee, and Board of Directors.

Position Responsibilities

You Will:



  • Manage and provide consultation on credit risk oversight of Strategic Partner programs
  • Assist in the development of the initial credit strategy for new WebBank products launched in partnership with Strategic Partners
  • Champion ongoing Strategic Partner credit strategy changes through the Bank approval process
  • Develop independent analysis of consumer and small business credit portfolios and validate partner program policy changes
  • Actively participate in the Bank's Loan Committees for Strategic Partner credit policy changes
  • Drive monthly risk monitoring and reporting, including reporting to the Board of Directors
  • Identify opportunities to drive enhancements to credit strategies and associated documentation
  • Develop and manage credit risk governance processes to support Strategic Partner oversight and internal credit activities
  • Identify and implement tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the credit oversight function
  • Identify policy gaps and collaborate with Strategic Partner teams to improve policy adherence


Qualifications

You Have:



  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, risk management or related field
  • Strong credit analysis experience with the ability to understand complex credit strategies and effectively communicate with other credit risk professionals
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex credit strategies to executive management and other non-credit personnel to facilitate understanding and drive discussion
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in consumer and/or commercial lending
