Summary of Job Duties:The associate registrar oversees the graduation application and degree audit process and works closely with the registrar in the planning of the commencement ceremonies each semester. He/she is also responsible for reporting enrollment and graduation data to the National Student Clearinghouse. The position will also play a key role in the programing of degree requirements into Workday Student, the student information system of the UA System. Additionally, he/she is cross-trained in many Registrar's Office functions and provides backup support as needed. The associate registrar reports to the registrar. Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required. Two (2) years of experience in records/registrar's office, advising, or other student support areas at a college/university is required. Computer skills are necessary. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:

Master's degree. Three-five (3-5) years of experience in records/registrar's office, advising, or other student support areas with extensive experience in direct student advising at a college/university.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the graduation application process. Approves/disapproves graduation applications, and communicates with students and faculty advisors regarding graduation application status and all corresponding data.
  • Assists with planning, coordination, execution of commencement ceremonies.
  • Processes data submissions for National Student Loan Clearinghouse.
  • Programming degree eligibility requirements in Workday Student.
  • Audit and maintain eight-semester guarantee contracts.

Working Relationships:

The associate registrar works with a dynamic team of staff in a fast-paced environment focused on customer service. He/she will have daily contact with students, advising, admissions, and financial aid staff members, university administrators, faculty, and professional peers.

Special Job Dimensions:Work is performed in a professional office setting. Occasional extended walking required (on-campus) for deliveries and errands. Extended period of standing required on days of commencement ceremonies. Walks and sits for extended periods of time doing data entry, bends to find materials in files. Occasional overtime required during peak periods.

The Registrar's Office hours are Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5 pm; Friday 9:00 am -5:00 pm. The associate registrar will normally work 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The position requires work on the evenings and weekends of commencement and other special events.

Salary Information:

$42,000-$46,000/year
