Job Responsibilities:
Position Summary: This position is responsible for day to day operations and clinical oversight of the CSP.
Essential Functions:
As part of the ACT team, provide case management services meeting the requirements of the ACT model
Participate in ACT training and be a leader in moving the CSP staff in this direction of service
Act as a leader in the WCS Evidence Based Practices and Trauma Informed Care movement
Provide clinical supervision and management to CSP staff.This includes team meetings, individual and side by side supervision
Participate in recruiting, screening, interviewing, and training new CSP staff as needed
Complete annual CSP employee evaluations in a timely manner
Maintain a quality assurance process to monitor staff documentation to ensure good clinical practice and maximize billing
Screen new referrals and perform intakes as needed, including initial/indepth assessments, and recovery plans
Enter new clients into electronic medical record databases
Complete State required assessments
Ensure accountability for timely recovery plan completion by staff and report late plans to Associate Program Director
Participate with the Associate Program Director in accountability measures and corrective actions with direct service staff as needed
Ensure adequate staffing of program and provide coverage as needed - Associate Program Director will assist as needed
Assess staff training needs and coordinate training with management
Participate and be a leader in team building activities
Assist and support CSP staff during crisis situations/provide coverage during times of staff shortage
Coordinate the writing of Chapter 51 commitment extensions and attending court hearings as needed
Maintain client records in the electronic medical record databases, prompt Case Managers to complete all assessments, and ensure that they are entered in a timely fashion
Manage any crisis situations as they arise, including any needed collateral contact/follow up
Oversee client discharges with Milwaukee County and ensure that discharges are completed according to DHS 63
Attend CSP Operations Meetings with Milwaukee County CARS
Represent the Community-Based Mental Health Programs (CBMHP) in the community and at County initiatives as needed
Advise management on all aspects of the CBMHP
Coordinate with Milwaukee County and other community agencies as needed
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete and submit CSP staff timecards in a timely manner
Volunteer for client-related gatherings throughout the year (holidays, summer picnics, etc.)
Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position

Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A very high degree of clinical knowledge and skills and the ability to clearly communicate these to others; ability to cope with emergency situations with a highly impaired population; good supervision skills and the ability to maintain and promote positive working relationships within CBMHP; excellent assessment and interviewing skills; good understanding of mental illness and its effects of clients and their families; ability to support staff in difficult situations; effective use of time and resources to help maintain quality CSP services. Strong writing and good organizational skills are essential.
Minimal Qualifications:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in a behavioral science
Experience in the human services field with at least 9 months (1500 hours) working with adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness or 1.5 years (3000 hours) working with adults with mental illness
Licensure in the state of Wisconsin in an applicable profession strongly preferred
Some supervisory experience preferred.

Work Relationship and Scope: Reports directly to the Associate Program Director; works with the CSP psychiatrists/APNP, the rest of the CSP treatment team, as well as the benefits advocates, client service representative, billing, and support staff; acts as a liaison with landlords, employers, community medical staff and family members - especially in complicated situations.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in the office, the community, and occasionally in clients' homes; clients may be unstable and symptomatic at times; hours average at least 40 hours per week; flexible work schedule includes some weekends, after hours hotline coverage, and holidays; may be required to work on busy client days such as "check days."
Physical Demands: Position is mobile with some time spent in the community, including occasional transporting clients, home visits and attending meetings; driving throughout Milwaukee County; must be able to go up and down stairs and lift and carry 20 pounds to assist case managers with routine client moves.
