TTU Post Doctoral Teaching Scholar 40179BR Mathematics and Statistics Position Description Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, in an academic unit. Train under the supervision and direction of a faculty mentor who will provide the opportunity for collaborative and independent teaching. A postdoc appointment is for a minimum of one year with the possibility of annual re-appointment for up to four additional years, for a total not to exceed five years. The College has more than 10,000 students enrolled representing more than a quarter of the overall Texas Tech University student population while maintaining a 22:1 student to faculty ratio. About the Department/School/Area The Department of Mathematics & Statistics is one of the largest departments on campus, with over 45 tenured and tenure track faculty. In addition, the Department includes several postdoctoral associates and instructors. Graduate enrollment has averaged 120 students per year since 2015. Of them, approximately 100 are supported full-time as: graduate part-time instructors, teaching assistants, or research assistants. Major/Essential Functions
