ACARA Solutions and our client are seeking a Remote full-time Director of Information Technology Security for a direct hire role. The position offers a competitive salary with a performance bonus of up to 25%, a full benefits package including RSUs and 401K, and minimal travel.

Preferred: Manufacturing background

Key Responsibilities:

Security Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and lead global security strategy.
  • Build a security-conscious culture and mentor a team of ~30 security professionals.

Incident Response & Threat Management:

  • Manage the incident response program and improve it through data analytics and post-incident reviews.

Policy Development & Compliance:

  • Implement security policies aligned with regulations (e.g., ITAR).
  • Stay current on security threats and compliance requirements.

Technology & Innovation:

  • Maximize current technologies and introduce new solutions to enhance security.

Risk Management & Governance:

  • Conduct security assessments and ensure compliance with DFAR, NIST, CMMC guidelines.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and keep the CIO/CISO informed of security trends.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in data management, IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, HIPAA).
  • Strong communication skills for diverse audiences, including executives.
  • U.S. Government compliance experience (DFAR, CMMC).
  • 15+ years of IT experience, 5+ years in senior-level IT security leadership (preferably in manufacturing).

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
15 years of IT experience with a proven track record of risk management and information security roles
5 years of experience in a Senior-level IT leadership role within a large, complex organization (manufacturing is preferred)
Experience US Government compliance, DFAR, ITAR, and CMMC
