We are currently hiring for:

Job Title Staff Accountant

Job Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for the protection of company assets. This is completed through minimizing liability or risk by ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting through plant overhead expense, operational/production variances, product quality and traceability. This is supported by ensuring process controls are in place and followed while communicating deviations to plant management.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Reconcile and report daily operational/production variances to plant management.
  • Review and analyze production variances and overhead expense to document changes in product cost.
  • Prepare and load journal entries to accrue expense or correct general ledger accounting.
  • Weekly/monthly inventory and work order accounting close functions.
  • Ensure product quality and limiting financial risk through inventory trace exercises, lot rotation, and aging/distressed analysis.
  • Review of inventory cycle counting process and results to assure accuracy of balance sheet accounts.
  • Drive continual improvement in quality, productivity, efficiency and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Partner with all departments of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting (assets/liabilities and debits/credits).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Desire to be hands on with production as necessary.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to solve problems with strong analytical ability.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
  • Candidates must successfully pass the post-offer/pre-employment drug test and background screen.
