As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Used Truck Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic. The role of the Used Truck Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic performs heavy-duty mechanical repair and light maintenance under general supervision on used trucks as assigned. Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties. Gains experience by performing the following repairs under minimal supervision: motor overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, motor tune-up, and general maintenance. Works on major components with close supervision Performs trouble shooting on minor problems. Attends training sessions and meetings. Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and properly handle company tools. Advises the Used Truck Manager if additional repair work is necessary. Test drives trucks to ensure road readiness and repairs were completed correctly. Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor. Qualifications CDL must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Graduate of vocational school or minimum of 2 years hands on experience. A/C, brake and DOT Annual Inspector certifications required.
