Summary of Position

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the credentialing and licensing process for physicians of all Inform Diagnostics entities. Included in these activities are the processing of provider applications and reapplications, initial mailing, review, and loading into the database tracking system ensuring high quality standards are maintained.

Key Job Elements



  • Complete, process and submit state licensing applications to medical boards in order to obtain state medical licenses for both existing and new pathologists.
  • Renew medical licensure, hospital privileges and board certifications.
  • Establish and maintain physician profiles with the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare.
  • Research and stay current on state licensure requirements and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with company pathologists.
  • Maintain complete files on pathologists for all company entities using OneApp Pro software database and spreadsheets.
  • Enroll pathologists in Medicare/Medicaid and revalidate information as necessary.
  • Complete and submit client credentialing applications for all company entities which require physician credentialing/privileging.
  • Correspond with medical office staff, licensing agencies, education providers, attorneys and insurance carriers via use of phone, mail, and email methods to complete pathologist files.



Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience



  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts of credentialing and licensing procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver timely and accurate work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for credentialing.
  • Proactive, works with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to present a professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use.
  • A high degree of human relation skills to interact across multiple facilities at various levels.
  • Commitment to the successful achievement of team and organizational goals through a desire to participate with and help other members of the team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization.
