Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at a leading rubber manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by managing sales inquiries, processing orders, overseeing shipments, and providing exceptional support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, order management, and logistics, with highly developed written and oral communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Order Management: Process customer orders, ensuring all details are accurately entered into the system, and track the progress of orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team by providing product information, generating quotes, and facilitating communication between the sales team and customers.
  • Shipment Coordination: Coordinate with the shipping department to ensure orders are dispatched on time and resolve any shipping-related issues.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and transactions.
  • Communication: Ensure clear and effective communication with customers, sales team, and other departments within the organization.
  • Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, order management, and shipping logistics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong professional phone skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging customer situations with professionalism.
  • Rubber products education.

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, in-office position with occasional overtime as needed.
