Job Summary:
Weinberg College IT (WITS) seeks a Business Analyst Associate who reports to the Business Analyst Manager. WITS provides broad-based, high-impact solutions that facilitate research, enhance teaching and learning, and improve administration and process. The associate analyst contributes to the design, implementation, support/maintenance, and enhancement of College and University enterprise, vendor and in-house developed applications; documents functional requirements; analyzes and communicates business needs; translates functional into technical requirements; validates solutions and troubleshoots technical problems; supports business process improvement efforts; and supports the rest of the team with project management.
This is a 100% full-time position and is eligible for remote work, more information will be discussed during the interview. The target hiring range for this position will be between $65,124 - $91,581 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Specific Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Communication
- Partners with and supports other analysts, end users and peers to document and analyze functional requirements, identify gaps and alternative approaches to meet requirements, and ensure all deliverables completed (adhering to approved methodology and documentation standards).
- Participates with functional users and technical staff to determine best approaches, ensuring that approved solutions are implemented in a timely and correct fashion.
- Communicates, in writing or other modes, to both large and small audiences clear and non-technical messages about technical enhancements or changes.
Administration
- Contributes to the creation of accurate documentation of process, procedure, and system/application configuration.
- Provides input into the creation and maintenance of test scripts, implementation project plans, roll-out communications and training materials.
- Identifies simple use cases.
Development
- Provides input into test scripts and performs detailed testing for simple use cases to ensure that the implemented software functions correctly.
- Participates in iterative feedback processes among users, developers, and analysts to ensure software functionality aligns with requirements.
Performance
- Enters basic software configurations to meet user needs.
- Collaborates with technical, reporting and application resources to analyze and resolve basic production issues in a timely manner.
Miscellaneous
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as computer science, information technology, or the liberal arts; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.

- Familiarity with Smartsheet, Microsoft Power Automate, or other workflow/automation tools
- Ability to prepare business requirements and write training documentation for a wide range of users
