Description
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Thermal Properties Characterization Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in our Advanced Materials Characterization Department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Materials and Fuels Complex facility with every Friday off. You will apply various thermal properties techniques, such as the laser flash diffusivity (LFA), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), simultaneous DSC-thermogravimetric analysis (STA), push-rod dilatometer, mass spectrometry and gas diffusion set-ups, among others. Idaho National Laboratory has been designated as the lead Department of Energy laboratory for all aspects of nuclear materials research and development in the United States. INL has the most comprehensive single-location nuclear fuel research capabilities in the US and the most complete and advanced complement of post irradiation examination capability for studying material degradation in nuclear materials. Qualifications
PhD requirements must be completed by commencement of appointment and within the previous 5 years.
