Job Title: ISSO III
Work Location: Onsite at the Department of Treasury; 1500 Penn Ave, Washington, DC.
Clearance Required: US Citizen; Public Trust

Position Description/Scope of Work:

Alpha Omega is looking for a Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team to support one of our government customers. The primary responsibilities for the position are to support all activities that ensure the level of security documented with the security authorization is maintained at an acceptable level of risk. The nature of the work requires that the candidate demonstrates initiative, organization, responsibility, customer service skills, and the ability to be flexible and adaptive to a fast-paced, fluid business environment. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and decisively with all levels of the organization and be able to solve practical problems as well as exercise sound judgement with regards to sensitive and confidential information. Proactively create, monitor and update the status of POA&Ms to ensure weaknesses are resolved in accordance with their scheduled completion dates.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Change Management


The Contractor shall work with ISSMs to define priority thresholds for system alerts and notifications supporting the system change management processes.



  • Security Impact Assessment


The Contractor shall conduct security impact assessments as necessary for system/functional Change Requests (CRs). System/functional CRs are a very critical component of the Enterprise Applications and configuration management process to support the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), supports application functionality, security enhancements and infrastructure changes. All system changes are documented, reviewed, and approved through the CR process and vetted by a CCB.



  • Access/Account Reviews


The Contractor shall conduct access control reviews for all privileged accounts managed and maintained for EAC assigned systems. The review summary shall contain results and recommendations. The Contractor will be required to coordinate these activities with the Enterprise Applications Point Of Contacts (POCs) The Contractor shall develop a semi- annual Account Review Summary.



  • Interconnection Security Agreements/ Memoranda of Agreement


The Contractor shall prepare Interconnection Security Agreements/Memoranda of Agreement (ISA/MOU), review and update existing ISAs as required annually.



  • Enterprise Applications Cybersecurity Assessment & Authorization(A&A) and Continuous Monitoring Activities


The Contractor shall utilize ServiceNow Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) module to conduct A&A activities to perform ISSO tasks in the attached OCIO EA ISSO and Systems Team Responsibilities document.



  • Operational Procedures and Technical Support


The Contractor shall prepare and maintain operational IT security procedures at the direction of the Enterprise Applications identified POCs. Security procedures should be reviewed and/or updated on a regular basis to reflect changes in security standards and requirements. The Contractor shall provide technical support by reviewing new IT technologies that provides enhanced protection for OCIO in collaboration with EAC

  • Experience supporting systems hosted in Cloud environments.
  • Experience supporting systems in Agile and DevOps environments


Required Certification(s): (Must have one certification)



  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

    • Telecommute Options (if available). TBD based on customer occupancy and ongoing projects that would require on-site work.


    Salary and Benefit Information:

    The likely salary range for this position is $86,000 - $125,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
