The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Solutions & Business Strategist to drive digital transformation and innovation by leading strategic projects that enhance content delivery, optimize user experiences, and implement cutting-edge solutions.

This position is based in Washington, DC where we have a hybrid work environment (two days per week in the office).

The Digital Solutions & Business Strategist contributes to the evolution of digital content delivery platforms to meet rapidly evolving member, stakeholder, and business needs. This individual will lead strategic projects to assess specific current capabilities or investigate new digital opportunities, partnering with cross-divisional stakeholders to understand requirements, explore solutions, recommend options, and oversee implementation. This individual will also contribute to the ongoing evolution of ACC's strategy for Digital Transformation, including performing competitive assessments, defining opportunities to support digital content, and technology trend analyses to identify strategic changes.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, build, and integration of scalable digital solutions and products to meet organizational needs, in collaboration with business lines (e.g., marketing, membership, education, publications) content and UX strategists, and technology stakeholders

  • Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution

  • Define the vision, high-level requirements, and roadmaps for solutions based on a deep understanding of relevant business context, market research, technology, and end-user needs

  • Partner with IT to recommend potential solution options (which may include RFIs, RFPs or prototype development) that are compatible and in compliance with IT standards for architecture and security

  • Lead creation of conceptual and logical specifications for all layers of solutions (people, process, technology, and information)

  • Provide guidance during solution implementation and verify the correctness and effectiveness of implementations

  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to explain solutions, demonstrate solutions, answer questions, and resolve concerns

  • Understand and communicate the needs of end users and audiences we serve and business needs

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements

  • Continually research current and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for change and inform solutions

  • Build relationships with colleagues across business lines

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent education or work experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience related to business strategy or information technology solutions

  • Knowledge of software development processes and technology platforms, including agile methodologies

  • Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for software portfolios, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, conducting vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations

  • Experience with website redesigns, AI solutions, SEO/SEM, and structured content to evolve enterprise content strategy implementation

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management systems desired

  • Experience with Sitecore or similar Web Content Management Systems desired

  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with demonstrated success leading large and complex projects

  • Experience in innovation activities such as ideation, workshops, and real-world application evaluations

  • Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills and ability to present a solution and its corresponding rationale

  • Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability

  • Ability to work under indirect supervision

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills

  • Technically creative and open-minded

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Consulting experience desired

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or other project management certification preferred.

ACC believes in fair and equitable pay. Multiple factors are taken into consideration when we determine what salary to offer a selected candidate. These factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations. Our salary ranges differ based on the cost of labor in the local market where the job will be performed. For this role in Washington, DC (and other high-cost of labor markets if applicable, including California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Washington) the target base salary range is: $125,000 - $140,000. The salary ranges for other locations in the US will vary based on the local labor market; ACC's Recruitment Team will be able to provide more information to candidates during initial discussions.

COVID Considerations:
