Description
The Service Technician Summer Intern is an entry level position used to introduce candidates to an exciting career as a Caterpillar dealer technician. The Intern is responsible for assisting more experienced technicians on jobs involving the servicing and repairing of equipment. The Intern must be able to perform independently under close supervision. Examples of the types of machinery that the Intern must be able to evaluate and repair include earth moving equipment, diesel engines, electric power generators, lift trucks, and allied products. The Service Technician Intern will demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner.
Education
High School or Equivalent (preferred)
Experience
Candidates for this position must possess strong mechanical aptitude. No formal work experience is required for this position; however individuals with prior mechanical experience will be given stronger consideration. Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required for this position. (required)
