Position Title: Maintenance Tech
Wage: $58,240 - $70,720/year Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Maintenance System Specialist to join our team in Waukegan, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our facilities through regular maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of various systems, including HVAC, industrial electrical, and mechanical components. The Facilities Maintenance System Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for all employees. 3-5 years of experience in industry and/or trade school required. Maintenance Tech Responsibilities: - Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance - Utilize tools such as VOM meter & HVAC gauges to troubleshoot issues - Conduct repairs and maintenance on various equipment and machinery within the facility - Analyze system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise - Operate scissor lifts safely for maintenance tasks at elevated heights - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed - Organize and maintain a ticketing system for maintenance/repair requests - Communicate and collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects - Create and maintain maintenance logs - Follow safety protocols and regulations while performing all tasks Requirements for Maintenance Tech: - Proficiency in HVAC systems maintenance and repair - Strong command of English for effective communication with team members and management - Ability to use diagnostic tools such as VOM meters and other diagnostic equipment - Experience in field service roles with a focus on maintaining equipment - Excellent analytical skills to assess system performance and identify issues - Familiarity with operating scissor lifts safely - A background in military service is a plus but not required - Proper lockout/tagout procedures - HVAC and/or electrical licensing or certifications are a plus QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
