SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting current system functionality and making necessary modifications to complex applications to support evolving business needs and requirements. Utilize manufacturing experience to assist in the design, creation, deployment, and maintenance of innovative business applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Collaborate with business partners and Corporate IT to address business problems and provide scalable solutions by leveraging technology platforms & solutions.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with users, functional departments to facilitate problem identification and resolution.
  • Provide technical support to production systems by addressing complex issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs.
  • Ensure availability and performance of systems and application environments through proactive as well as reactive analysis and maintenance.
  • Resolve incidents within established SLAs.
  • Maintain application's data integrity and accuracy within the database.
  • Review computer system capabilities to determine if request is possible. Recommend alternative path/process to achieve an acceptable solution when appropriate.
  • Analyze and prepare specifications and documentation according to department standards to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Document progress on delivery of features to the customer and addressing any business issues that arise during the development or testing process.
  • Provide estimates, report status of assigned tasks and actual resource consumption.
  • Write high-quality application code within deadlines following SDLC process (design, development, debugging, functional testing, develop test plans, change review and approval, deployment).
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Utilize Dev-Ops for development, and deployment.
  • Perform configuration, setup, and updating of applications, including table definitions and access control.
  • Work through backlog and deliver solutions following established processes.
  • Support system upgrades by performing assigned tasks.
  • Provide technical mentoring to Application Developers.
  • Present technical ideas and solutions to Application Management Director.
  • Lead small projects by defining tasks and executing to deliver results.



REQUIRED SKILLS



  • Strong Analytical skills with the ability to understand business data and business processes related to manufacturing.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry ERP system.
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting database issues
  • Prior IFS experience preferred - IFS application and Oracle database support
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Migration Assistant within the IFS Application, and PL/SQL and/or Oracle, and IFS Report Writer/Designer.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with other Application Developers.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be customer focused.
  • High degree of productivity and skill in testing, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to elicit requirements, design solutions, and follow SDLC through deployment.
  • Strong communication, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks at a time.
  • Language experience with C#, VB.NET
  • Experience with reading and writing SQL queries
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell, DTS, Windows CMD.
  • Comfortable using Linux and Window server environments
  • Reporting experience in Crystal Reports, Power BI, SSRS, Focus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Prior IFS experience preferred - IFS application and Oracle database support
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Migration Assistant within the IFS Application, and PL/SQL and/or Oracle, and IFS Report Writer/Designer.
  • Must be discreet; position involves routine exposure to confidential data of major importance, which if disclosed, may be detrimental to the company's interest.
  • Position includes providing off hour business application support.
  • Ability to travel if necessary.



EXPERIENCE



  • 5+ Years of relevant technical applications experience implementing and improving enterprise applications


  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development


  • Manufacturing industry knowledge



EDUCATION



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
