Marketing Intern- Alachua, FL

We are recruiting for a Marketing Intern to join our team for the summer. This program is designed for students who would enjoy the opportunity to work alongside our marketing team to gain practical marketing experience. Hands on interaction with the marketing team will allow you the opportunity to observe the marketing process, attend community events, learn aspects of Farm Credit's marketing efforts such as creating social media content, sales and marketing plans, customer relations and market research. This internship will be in our Alachua Florida office.

Objectives:

- Learn about the Farm Credit System and Farm Credit of Florida products, services, mission, and vision for the future of agriculture in Florida.

- Develop the basic skills to market products and services, provide customer outreach and build a community presence.

- Understand Farm Credit of Florida's process for creating marketing strategies and goals.

- Learn what key information is needed to develop successful marketing plans and events.

- Understand all aspects of marketing including content creation, customer relationship management, market analysis and communication.

- Assists with special projects, as assigned.

Skills:

- Proficient organizational and technological skills.

- Detailed-oriented with strong multi-tasking capabilities.

- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) appropriately based on target audience.

- Excellent interpersonal skills: able to maintain good rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with customers and those outside the department.

- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Knowledge of social media tools (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)

- Knowledge of content creation tools like Canva and/or Adobe CC.

- Strong creative capabilities

- Customer Focused

- Priority Setting/Time Management

- Capable of identifying and completing tasks independently, and reporting on progress, with a sense of urgency and ownership.

Basic Qualifications:

- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's in Marketing or Communications

- Rising Junior or Senior

- Agriculture, rural ties and/or knowledge of various segments in the agriculture industry are a plus.
